Ford is celebrating the history of its venerable Bronco by offering Heritage Edition and Heritage Limited Edition styling packages for the 2023 model year. And as anticipated, that same formula applies to the 2023 Bronco Sport.

Like the bigger Bronco, the 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Heritage Edition features a contrasting Oxford White roof, matching painted grille, and 17-inch wheels that mimic vintage wagon wheel styling. A white body stripe rounds out the exterior flourishes, while seven different colors will be available including Robin’s Egg Blue (picutred) and Yellowstone Metallic (also pictured).

The Heritage Limited Edition trim adds a metal “Bronco” script front fender badge, as well as larger 29-inch all-terrain tires. The more premium 2023 Ford Bronco Heritage Limited Edition will launch exclusively available in Robin’s Egg Blue, Yellowstone Metallic, and Peak Blue.

Inside the cabin is similarly vintage, with seats clad in plaid cloth and heathered Navy Pier, as well as Race Red and Robin’s Egg Blue accent stitching. This interior harks back to those that were available in 1980s Bronco models. Heritage Limited Edition models receive even more luxurious leather-trimmed seats, Oxford White door inserts, and unique center console badging.

The changes aren’t only skin deep either, the Heritage Edition is built off of the Big Bend trim, which means a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine that puts out 181 horsepower and 190 lb.-ft. of torque. Heritage Limited Edition models build off of the badlands trim and feature a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that now produces 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. Two more drive modes have been added to the G.O.A.T. Modes system for a total of seven, by adding Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl.

The Bronco Sport also receives the same H.O.S.S. system as its bigger sibling, which includes a lift for more ground clearance, 46-millimeter-diameter monotube rear shocks, and uniquely tuned struts and springs.

Just 1,966 Heritage Edition Bronco Sport models will be built, each at a cost of $34,245, while the Heritage Limited Edition trim will cost $44,655. The special edition models will go on sale in the fall of 2022, and we expect these to sell out pretty quickly. The larger Bronco Heritage models aren’t here until winter 2023.
