Harley-Davidson has a massive global presence, which is why custom bike shops worldwide choose them as their canvas.

Case in context today comes from beyond the sea, Poland, courtesy of Nine Hill Motorcycles. While the bike shop has transformed several Harleys, we’ll be looking at the ‘Oblivion’, a custom 2018 Fat Boy with a diverse assortment of tweaks.

The custom Fat Boy looks vastly different from its stock chrome-heavy self, and much of it concerns the bike’s custom tail section. Gone is the OEM fender, subframe, and rear tire, and in comes an extra-wide fender coupled to a 10-inch wide wheel wrapped in a 260-section rubber. In addition, the bikemaker has also thrown in an air suspension system at the back which offers infinite adjustment.

As a domino effect to these bits, Nine Hills has also reworked the ergonomics. So you now rest on a custom leather saddle (no pillion space here) and hold a low single-piece handlebar. In the middle, meanwhile, is an edgy fuel tank borrowed from none other than the Harley-Davidson FXDR.

Shifting focus to the front, the suspension up top has been lowered and now holds a custom front wheel. There’s also a brawny engine shroud down low to amplify the visual aspect of the front. However, the Fat Boy still retains its chunky stock headlight.

Like the headlight, the 1,868cc, twin-cylinder engine has remained more or less unchanged. The only exception here is the custom free-flow exhaust which should help you announce your arrival. Since the exhaust boosts performance too, Nine Hills also upgraded the front and rear brakes with petal rotors to help cut speed more effectively.

Finally, the whole project comes together with a smashing paint job. It comprises white-grey graphics airbrushed to the fuel tank, fenders, and even the belly shroud, that play the perfect partner in crime to the blacked-out mechanicals.

The price either breaks the deal or makes the deal, and sadly, it’s the former here. The bike shop has priced the ‘Oblivion’ at PLN 250,000 ($54,000) which is a lot of money, nearly three times the MSRP of the 2022 Fat Boy. Think it’s worth it? Then hit up Nine Hills Motorcycles because the motorcycle is currently on sale.
