The Guinness World Records is a book filled with weird and wonderful records set by some of the craziest and most daring people in the world. It might come as a surprise, but the Guinness World Records began in the 1950s, in an attempt to solve problems in public houses.

In 1954, the managing director of the Guinness Brewery, Sir Hugh Beaver, came together with Norris and Ross McWhirter, who were fact-finding researchers, to create a book full of facts and figures which would later be known as the Guinness Book of Records. And there have been quite a few radical records in the Guinness world over the years.

Yet again, another mind-blowing record has been set earlier this year by two Italians in a BMW for the world’s fastest tire change on a moving vehicle. The Guinness World Records never seem to disappoint. Let’s dive right in and find out how these two daredevils managed to pull off the unimaginable.

As mentioned before, some strangest records are set with the Guinness World Record judges in attendance, by some of the most fearless individuals. And now, another insane and dangerous record has been broken by two Italians. Manuel Zoldan and Gianluca Folco have achieved the record for the fastest tire change on a moving vehicle.

They pulled off the impossible by changing a tire on a moving vehicle in just 1 minute and 17 seconds. With one of them sitting in the driver’s seat of an E46 BMW 3 Series and somehow managing to tip the car onto two wheels while consistently keeping the car on two wheels. Which seems like an almost impossible task in itself. But just you wait.

The passenger in the car crawled out of the window and placed himself on the hood to attempt the tire change. Not that the record attempt needed any more dramatization, but the pair decided to execute the stunt while wearing matching Evel Knievel-inspired costumes.

Well, the spare tire, which was lighter and smaller, was clamped onto the outside of the car. The clamp held it in place until the passenger was ready to change the tire. After exiting the car via the passenger window, Gianluca Folco managed to fiddle with the nuts and bolts and managed to change the tires in only 1 minute and 17 seconds. 13 seconds faster than a record that had previously been set at 1 minute 30 seconds.

A video showcasing the gob-smacking performance at the Lo Show Dei Record show in Italy was published on YouTube and has already accumulated over 120,000 views due to its festinating stunts and Guinness World Record achievement. The driver, Manuel Zoldan, is seen driving onto a ramp and flipping the car onto two wheels, somehow continuing to drive the vehicle around in circles.

The video then reveals how passenger, Gianluca Folco, clambered out of the passenger window to swiftly and rapidly change the car's front passenger tire whilst hanging out of the window! All this while the BMW 3 Series is still in motion. No wonder the extraordinary footage has generated so many views!

The new Amazing World Record was shown live on Italian TV and going by the show's name, Lo Show Dei Record, the show has seen its fair share of record-breaking performances. The show has accumulated so many world records that a Guinness World Record Judge is constantly present. On this particular night, he handed certificates to both Zoldan and Falco, who were ecstatic.

It’s down to you to decide who had the most difficult part to play in this insane stunt. The driver's efforts to keep the car moving while suspended on two wheels and perfect the landing onto all four wheels or the passenger who conducted the immense tire change at such a speed. Arguably, it seems as though the driver had the hardest job, but there’s a reason the BMW has a box for wheel nuts fixed to the fender.

The tire that Zoldan changed looked as though it was a smaller spare tire rather than a full-size tire. But nothing can be taken away from the stunt’s excellence. The BMW 3 Series driver, Gianluca Folco, isn’t just a fantastic driver. But he is a stunt driver from Team Folco. And has appeared in several television programs and movies.

Most noticeably, the teams' work can be seen on the likes of 6 Underground, The Ruthless, and Top Gear. Although the performance by the two Italians is phenomenal, Let’s take nothing away from the BMW 3 Series that helped perfect the stunt. BMW seems to be stunt drivers' go-to car, and it’s no surprise. The BMW 3 Series E46 seemed to have incredible balance and certainly helped with the Guinness World Record Award.
