WEST 4J ROAD AND OAKCREST DRIVE: A 31-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday. He was driving a 2005 Chevy on West 4J Road when he left the road and drove through a fence. He tried to drive away from the crash, damaging a large portion of grass in a backyard. He eventually hit a dirt pile, which caused both air bags to deploy, Police Deputy Chief Brent Wasson said. When officers arrived, he was drunk but not hurt, and they arrested him for DUI. Damage to the fence and landscaping is about $1,500, while the damage to the vehicle is estimated at $10,000.
