Old 1st Gen Toyota Fortuner Converted to the Latest 2022 Toyota Legender: Changes

At the start of the video, the presenter explains, all the major parts including the bonnet, fender, headlights, bumpers etc. except the door and boot lid. Along with this, the SUV will be given an all-new Brooklyn Grey paint scheme inspired by the latest BMW X3 and a complete interior overhaul, says the modifier. Having a look at the video, it is quite clear that the car is in its stock condition. Talking about the process of conversion, some parts in the chassis are changed in order to accommodate the new headlights and body panels. The video also takes us through the complete process of paint. Further moving ahead in the video, the presenter showcases the concept for the interiors and says that the SUV will get a dual-tone black-maroon finish.

As we proceed further in the video, the presenter shows the final results in the form of a converted Toyota Legender. In terms of results, the SUV looks unmistakably a Legender from the front with similar headlamps, fog lamps, grille and gloss black skid plate. Towards the side, the SUV gets new Type 3 alloy wheels and the brake callipers get a Miami Blue finish. Apart from this, the SUV looks like the old Fortuner from the sides with the same set of doors, A, B, and C pillars and the large quarter glass. The rear profile gets a new type 2 Fortuner bumper, and LED tail lamps and all the logos have been updated with a gloss black finish so that it goes well with the SUV’s new paint scheme.

Inside the cabin, the seats are draped into a new patterned leatherette upholstery and the same colour pattern is continued on the door pads, A, B and C pillars. The highlight of this modification is the new steering wheel unit from the Type 3 Fortuner. The dashboard also gets an all-black leatherette treatment.

Towards the end of the video, the owner looks quite happy with the overall work and he says “The car is looking really amazing”. Going ahead, he didn’t expect such a drastic change and the interiors resemble that of a Bentley, says the owner.

The Toyota Fortuner is one of the most popular and hyped SUVs in the Indian market and has a crazy following among the car buyers. A brand name in itself, it is priced in the range of Rs. 32.59 lakh to Rs. 50.34 lakh (ex-showroom). The Toyota Legender will set you back by Rs. 42.82 lakh to Rs. 46.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
