Maruti recetly launched their mid-size SUV Grand Vitara in the market. The prices for the new Grand Vitara have been announced and the deliveries for the same have also started. We have a detailed review video of the all-new Grand Vitara on our website. Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara competes with cars like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun in the segment. Here we have a comparison video that shows what the base variant of Grand Vitara offers when compared to Hyundai Creta base variant.

The video has been uploaded by Anubhav Chauhan on their YouTube channel. In this video vlogger compares the base E variant of Hyundai Creta with base variant of Grand Vitara (Sigma). Both these models have a similar ex-showroom price at Rs 10.4 lakh. The vlogger compares the looks, features and space of both these SUVs in the video.

Starting with the exterior looks, Maruti Grand Vitara looks a bit more premium. Even the base variant of the Grand Vitara comes with gloss black front grille with chrome outline, dual-function LED DRLs, projector headlamps, silver coloured skid plates. The Hyundai Creta E variant has a different looking front grille when compared to higher models and the LED DRL is thinner, it gets single projector headlamp, turn indicator on the bumper with fog lamps and it also misses out on skid plates.

Coming to the side profile, Maruti offers request sensors for both driver and co-passenger side. This feature is completely missing in Creta E variant. The turn indicators are integrated to the ORVM in Grand Vitara and the ORVM itself can be electrically adjusted and folded. Hyundai Creta offers manual ORVMs and the turn indicators are on the front fender. Maruti is also offering disc brakes on all four wheels while Hyundai offers it in the front wheels only. There is micro antenna on the roof of Creta while Grand Vitara gets a proper shark fin antenna. Both SUVs offer steel rims only with the base trim.

As we move to the rear, Maruti Suzuki is offering an all LED tail light with turn indicators and the reverse lamp on the bumper. Hyundai Creta has thinner looking tail light when compared to higher models. There is no skid plate at the rear as well. Both SUVs offer four parking sensors and they miss out on reverse parking camera. In terms of looks, it feels like Maruti Grand Vitara has an upper hand.

Coming to the interior, Maruti is offering features like push button start/stop, mild hybrid, analog instrument cluster with colour MID, automatic climate control, tilt and telescopic steering and so on. Hyundai misses out on all these features. It also misses on rear defogger which comes with Sigma variant of Grand Vitara. Maruti is also offering one touch up and down power window for driver side while Hyundai misses it. Other than this, both SUVs miss out on features like a basic music system, rear wiper, roof rails.  Both SUVs are equally spacious although Grand Vitara is slightly more longer than Creta, it is Creta which has more boot space. Creta however does not offer adjustable headrests for rear passengers and three-pointer seat belt for all passengers.

It looks like Maruti Grand Vitara makes more sense to buy. Although it generates less power than Creta, Grand Vitara will compensate for the same with fuel efficiency. It is also a much more value for money product as it offers a lot more, in terms of features when compared to Creta base variant.
